How To Host A Vision Board Party Your Guests Will Love
If you love using vision boards to manifest your dream life, imagine how much more fun it is with your favorite girls, a glass of something bubbly, a table covered in magazines, and an entire evening dedicated to dreaming BIG.
That’s exactly what a vision board party is all about...

You and your friends get together, switch off from everyday life for a few hours, and ask one very exciting question:
What if your vision board actually came true?
But I don’t want your vision board party to turn into a cute craft night where everyone cuts out pictures of Chanel bags and villas in Italy, has a fabulous time, and forgets about the board three weeks later.
We want the pretty pictures AND the manifestation magic.
As a bestselling manifestation book author, I’ve taught my vision board workshops to hundreds of thousands of students, and there are a few things I always want people to understand before they create their boards.
You can download my free Vision Board Starter Kit here and learn the 3 most important steps for creating a vision board that actually supports your manifestation goals.
Now text the girls, pour the champagne, and let’s plan a vision board party your future selves would absolutely want an invitation to…
Vision Board Party Step 1: Create Your Vision Board Party Invite
First things first: who are you dreaming with?
Invite the women you can be completely yourself around. The ones who won’t raise an eyebrow when you announce that you want to write a book, double your income, move to Paris, meet the love of your life, start a business, or spend three months a year in Italy.
Big dreams can feel surprisingly vulnerable when you say them out loud.

You want people around that table who make you think bigger, not people who immediately ask, “But how are you going to do that?”
Once you have your dream team, make the invitation feel like the first little glimpse of the night you’re creating.
A group text absolutely works. But if you want to make your vision board party feel extra special, create a beautiful invitation in Canva, send a handwritten card, or start a private group chat just for the party.
And give your night a name!
Try:
- Champagne & Big Dreams
- Future Self Night
- What If It All Came True?
- Ladies’ Vision Board Night
- Dream Life Party
- Becoming Her
Vision Board Party Step 2: Choose From These Vision Board Party Themes
The best vision board party ideas start with choosing how you want the night to feel. You could go cozy, glamorous, relaxing, or completely over-the-top.
Your theme will also help you decide on your vision board party aesthetic, from the invitations and dress code to the food and decorations.
Here are a few of my favorites.
New Year’s Vision Board Party
New Year is the obvious time for a vision board party, and for good reason.
Dress up, open the champagne, put on your favorite playlist, and spend a few minutes celebrating everything that happened during the year you’re leaving behind.

Then turn your attention to the year ahead.
What do you want to experience? Who do you want to become? What would make you look back twelve months from now and think, “WOW. That actually happened”?
Pajama Vision Board Party
Make it ridiculously cozy.
Tell everyone to arrive in their favorite pajamas, pile up the cushions, light some candles, order your favorite food, and settle in with magazines and hot chocolate or cocktails.
Basically: girls’ sleepover, but your future selves are invited too.
Travel-Themed Vision Board Party
If your group chat is approximately 50% “we NEED to go here,” this theme practically plans itself.
Decorate with maps, postcards and travel magazines, then create boards around the places and experiences you want to manifest.
Paris. Bali. New York. The Maldives. An Italian summer.
Where are we going, girls?
Spa-Inspired Vision Board Party
Think fluffy robes, face masks, candles, gorgeous-smelling skincare, herbal tea, champagne, and a chilled manifestation playlist.
Set out your vision board supplies and let everyone create between mini spa moments.
You could even finish with a short future-self visualization while everyone is completely relaxed.
Future Self Vision Board Party
This one is VERY Self Made Ladies.
Instead of only asking, “What do I want?”, ask everyone to imagine the woman who already has it.
How does she dress? Where does she live? How does she spend her mornings? What does she believe about herself? What does she no longer tolerate? What feels completely normal to her now?
Build your board around becoming her, not just collecting the things she owns.
Because your dream life isn’t only about what you have.
It’s about who you become while creating it.
Vision Board Party Step 3: Plan Your Vision Board Party Set Up & Decor
You absolutely don’t need an expensive venue. A living room can be perfect.
Start with enough table space for everyone to spread out their boards, magazines and supplies. Then make it pretty.
Add candles, flowers, cushions, fairy lights, inspiring quotes, pretty glasses and bowls or trays for your supplies. You could also create a little manifestation station with affirmation cards, magazines and printed vision board pictures ready for everyone to use.
Match your vision board party decor to your theme. A Future Self party could feel feminine and elegant, while a pajama party might have blankets, candles and cozy snacks everywhere.
Add your favorite playlist, drinks and something delicious to eat, and you’re done.
You’re not trying to recreate a Pinterest photoshoot. You’re creating a space where everyone feels relaxed, inspired and excited to dream bigger.

Vision Board Party Step 4: Get Your Vision Board Supplies
You can ask everyone to bring their own supplies, but personally, I love having everything waiting when guests arrive.
Set up one big manifestation station with magazines, beautiful pens, affirmation cards, scissors, glue and plenty of room for everyone to create.
And if you have a printer, even better.
Your dream life probably isn’t conveniently waiting inside three old magazines.
Vision Board Party Supplies Checklist
Here’s what I recommend:
- Magazines or a printer
- Poster board or corkboard
- Washi tape
- Glue
- Scissors
- Paper for journaling
- Pens and markers
- Inspiring quote cards
- Affirmation cards
- Manifestation checks
- Stickers and decorations

You can also download my free manifestation checks here and print enough for everyone before the party.
Then add drinks, snacks, and decorations that fit your theme.
Vision Board Party Step 5: Ask the Right Vision Board Questions
Before you start looking for images, take a few minutes to think about what you actually want.
This is an important step because it’s very easy to flick through a magazine, find a beautiful house, a designer bag, or a tropical beach and add it to your board simply because you like the picture.
But a powerful vision board should represent your dream life.
Give everyone a piece of paper and imagine it’s one year from today. Life has turned out even better than you expected.
Ask yourself:
Where are you living?
What does your work look like?
How much money are you making?
Who are you sharing your life with?
How do you feel in your body?
Where have you traveled?
What are you most proud of?
What happened that you once thought was impossible?
Don’t worry about how you’re going to make everything happen just yet. Give yourself permission to think bigger than what currently feels realistic.
Once you have a clearer picture of the life you want to create, start looking for images, words, affirmations, and symbols that represent it.
Now your vision board isn’t just a collection of beautiful pictures. It has a personal meaning behind it.
Vision Board Party Step 6: Create Your Vision Boards
Now we get to the fun part.
Turn up the music, refill the glasses, get the magazines out, and start creating.
But don’t choose an image simply because it looks pretty.
Choose images that make you feel something.
Maybe the photo isn’t your exact dream house, but it gives you the feeling of waking up somewhere beautiful and peaceful.
Use it.
Maybe a picture of two people laughing captures exactly how you want your relationship to feel.
Use it.
Maybe you find something that makes absolutely no sense to anyone else but instantly connects you with your future self.
On the board it goes.
Your vision board doesn’t need to make sense to anyone else.
It needs to mean something to you.
Bonus: End With the “What If It All Came True?” Ritual
Before everyone leaves, gather together with your finished boards.
Each person chooses one dream on her board that feels almost too big.
You know the one.
The dream that makes you excited and slightly terrified at the same time.
Hold up your board and say:
“What if this actually came true?”
And everyone else answers:
“Why wouldn’t it?”
Then take photos with your finished boards and put them somewhere you’ll actually see them when you get home.
And when something from that board starts appearing in your real life, tell the group.
Those “OMG GIRLS, THIS WAS ON MY VISION BOARD!!!” messages deserve an unreasonable number of exclamation marks.

My Favorite Vision Board Party Ideas & Tips
Keep It Fun
Yes, you’re talking about your future and your biggest dreams, but manifestation is allowed to be FUN.
Laugh. Eat. Drink. Dance around the living room. Change your mind halfway through your board. You don’t need the “perfect” vision board. You need one that feels like you.
Make Sure They’re YOUR Dreams
It’s surprisingly easy to fill a vision board with somebody else’s idea of a dream life. The designer handbag. The huge white house. The Maldives. The sports car.
Maybe you genuinely want all of those things. Great! But ask yourself why you chose each image. If nobody else could ever see your board, would you still want it? That question can be very revealing.
Keep the Manifestation Going
Start a group chat before the party to share inspiration, vision board examples and ideas. Then keep it going afterward.
Share wins, opportunities, synchronicities and scary action steps. Celebrate each other when something starts happening. Because manifestation isn’t about making a pretty collage and waiting.
Your vision board shows you where you’re going. You still have to start walking toward it.
