How to Use Creative Visualization Manifestation Technique

There are many tools and techniques that you can use to manifest your dream life. And visualization techniques are among the most powerful Law of Attraction tools.

So the big question is, how you can use creative visualization for manifestation?

There are several ways you can use visualization for manifestation:

  • Identify and solve your abundance blocks.
  • Figure out what you really want to attract.
  • Bring you into vibrational alignment with the universe (and your dream).

Visualization works deep within your subconscious mind. And that, my friend, is where all the magic of manifestation happens.

Learn how to visualize your dreams and let the law of attraction unfold its full power.

But before we go into more detail about the individual visualization techniques, let’s look at what visualization actually is and how it works.

What is Visualization and Why You Should Use It

Visualization is about allowing thoughts, ideas, goals, etc., to emerge as mental, inner images in the mind’s eye. Visualization works because the brain cannot determine whether something is really seen, in other words, viewed in the real world or whether it is just imagined.

Therefore you can “trick” your subconscious mind and show it a self-designed, self-created reality and thereby anchor this “new” reality into your subconscious mind.

Reprogramming the subconscious is a very important step in manifesting, especially when it comes to breaking old belief patterns.

But it can also make your dreams become a reality. In this visualization guide here, I’ll show you step by step how you can integrate visualization techniques into your daily law of attraction routine to attract more of the things you desire.

And to attract it faster!

Visualization For Manifestation

To attract the desired outcome, you must visualize until your ideas feel real. Once your visualizations have been subconsciously absorbed, your subconscious will do everything it can to live up to that reality.

Of course, your visions will not just magically appear in your life.

If you are not new to the SelfMadeLadies.Community, you know for sure that I keep saying that the Law of Attraction is not magic.

To manifest your dreams, it takes action. But to provoke inspired action, it is important that your subconscious clearly has your dream in mind. And visualization is the perfect tool for that.

Your mind has the incredible ability to create your reality, and visualization is key to creating it.

Our thoughts, like everything in our lives, consist of energy. When you send this energy to the universe, you attract similar energetic vibrations. And the great thing is, with visualizations, you can clearly control what you want to send out.

Different Visualization Techniques and How to Use Them

There are countless methods to visualize your goals and dreams.  Basically, none is right or wrong, and the best is to choose a technique that works for you.

The stronger, the more realistic you can visualize the inner picture of your dream, the better.

Here is a short step-by-step guide for a basic visualization technique:

  1. make sure that you don’t get distracted by doing your visualization in a quiet environment.

  2. close your eyes, and take some deep breaths. Slowly inhale through your nose, count to five, exhale through your mouth, and count to five again. Do this a few times until you feel fully relaxed.

  3. Imagine a clear mental picture of what you desire. Focus on every detail. Pay close attention to things like textures, colors, smells, or sounds. Imagine yourself touching things, listening to what you hear, and smelling the things around you. Can you even taste something?

  4. Feel how good it feels now that you have (achieved) what you desire. Feel it deep in your heart and anchor that feeling.

You can stay in this state as long as you wish. When you truly feel the good feelings of your achievement, you can then open your eyes again.

Some more advanced techniques I love to use are the following:

Your Perfect Day

The perfect day is one of my favorite visualization techniques.

The aim of this visualization exercise is for you to design your ideal day and then visualize it. A day where you have no commitments, where money plays no role.

What would this perfect day look like for you?

This day serves as a representative of your future life and should give you the opportunity to live all your desired experiences. This exercise is also great for finding out what you want, but let’s focus on the visualization for now.

Make sure you don’t restrict yourself. This day belongs ONLY to you, and everything is possible.

You can be what you want, you can be where you want, and you can do what you want.

So no matter if you want to go shopping in London and then go with the girls to an afternoon tea at Harrods, or if you prefer to go for a walk on the beach on Bora Bora with your spouse, it is your decision.

Live your day exactly as you wish.

However, it should be something you can imagine regularly doing. This day is symbolic of “every day” of your life.

So if you would like to take a walk on the beach on vacation, but you get bored sitting on the beach after a week or two, this is hardly your “ideal day.”

But if your big dream is to be a digital nomad, to travel the world together with your best friend, and visit the most beautiful beaches on this planet, then you are on the right track with your perfect day.

The following questions can help you to create your perfect day:

  • Where do I live?
  • Which city, which country?
  • Do I live in a house, apartment, hotel, or maybe in an RV?
  • How is this place furnished?
  • With whom do I live there?
  • What does my lifestyle look like?
  • When do I get up in the morning, when do I go to bed, and what do I do in between?
  • How do I eat, how healthy do I feel, and do I exercise?
  • How do I spend my free time? What kind of people do I surround myself with?
  • How much money do I have? Do I need to work to earn money? If so, what does my job or business looks like?
  • What kind of car do I drive? Do I even drive a car, or maybe a bike? Or do I have a driver?
  • What are my dreams?
  • What am I working on?
  • What are my goals?
  • Which ones have I already achieved?

Take enough time for this exercise, go into every detail of your ideal day, experience it like a movie you watch, or see yourself going through it yourself.

You can also write down this ideal day to reinforce it. Either you write it down first and then read through it, just before you visualize the day, or you imagine your ideal day and then write it down, for example, in a journal.

Play in Your Own Movie

This is a very powerful visualization technique, but it will take some practice. Take your time and try to do it as often as possible.

Step 1: Imagine you are sitting in a cinema, the light is getting darker, and the red curtain opens at the front of the screen. Then the film begins. The film is your dream, your goal that you want to achieve.

Take a close look at every detail in this movie. What do the actors look like, what kind of clothes do they wear, how are their movements, their facial expressions, and what kind of emotions do they radiate?

What does the environment look like, and what is the weather like? Is it light or dark, or does the film play inside or outside? What do you hear, and do people speak? If so, how loud or quiet? What other noises do you hear?

Step 2: Now, you get up from the cinema chair and slowly run towards the screen. Tear the screen down, just a large enough piece that you can get into the screen.

Now step into the movie, turn around, and look out of the screen into the theater. You can perceive your surroundings even better; look again at what is happening around you, what do you see, what do you hear, and what do you feel like.

You are now playing yourself in your movie, your dream.

Step 3: Now step out of the screen into the theater again, but the picture of you remains on the screen; you are still an actor in your movie.

Return to your seat and, sit down again, look at the screen. Now grab the picture on the canvas with your hand and shrink it. Take it between your fingers and make it very small, about the size of a piece of chocolate.

Then you bring the picture to your mouth and chew it, piece by piece until you can swallow it.

Imagine how every single piece you swallow contains your dream, like a movie. And how this movie is spread around your body. You become your movie; every scene is spread over your blood circulation into every cell of your body. You are your movie now.

This is a very powerful visualization technique when you combine it with a technique I call Success Persona. (To learn more about it, you can subscribe to my free 5-day manifestation email course here!)

Picture of Your Goal

Another very good visualization technique is to create a picture of yourself where you have reached your goal. Sort of like you could travel into the future and do a selfie.

Imagine your dream that you want to manifest; let’s say you want to lose 10 pounds and exercise more to get a toned body.

Now go forward in time until you have reached the desired target weight and body shape. Put on a bikini, posing in front of the mirror, and take a picture.

Now go back to the here and now and look at this picture. Feel how great it feels when you have reached your goal. Make this picture bigger, brighter, and more intense in color.

Choose The Right Visualization Exercise For Your Manifestations

You see, there are different ways you can visualize your dreams, and none is right or wrong.

Choose a visualization exercise that works best for you by taking the following points into account:

  • How long does the exercise take? Do I have the time to do this visualization regularly (if possible daily)?
  • How do I feel during the visualization? Can I fully let go?
  • How do I feel afterward? Does the good feeling last? And for how long?

Try out a few different visualization exercises until you find the right one for you. Or switch between the different exercises regularly, that’s what I like to do, as I get bored quickly.

Tips on How to Make Your Manifestation Visualizations More Powerful

Visualization techniques are a very effective tool; they are often used by athletes in training. In fact, since the 60s, when the Russian Olympic team successfully made use of visualizations.

It has been proven in various studies that athletes who only “imagine” doing a part of their training have achieved better results than athletes who have actually completed all training units.

If you want to use visualizations for yourself, I recommend that you do it daily. The best time to do this is right after getting up or before falling asleep.

But also directly before an important event, such as a job interview for your dream job or before a date with your crush, visualization can be very helpful.

The more concrete and detailed you imagine something, the stronger your subconscious will imprint this new reality.

So if you want to manifest an object, imagine it exactly, pay attention to the shape, texture, color, etc. And how does it feel when you touch it, is it warm, cold?

If your desired outcome is not tangible, then concentrate on noises, smells, feelings, tastes, etc., that you perceive when you have already reached the dream.

For example, a good feeling when you walk out of your job interview and know you have the job in your pocket. Or feel how you are sitting at the interview, perfectly in the flow, talking to the person you are talking to.

You see, visualization practiced often can strongly support your manifesting process and help you to achieve your dreams and goals.

BUT it is important to understand that visualization, like all the Law of Attraction tools out there, is just a tool.

The right technique, the right inspired action, is what ultimately leads you to success with manifesting.

Manifestation Visualization FAQ

Visualization is a wonderful way to signal your subconscious mind where you want to go in your life. It is also a very popular manifestation technique in my community, which often raises questions.

That’s why I have collected some of the most important questions about visualization techniques here.

Does Visualization Really Work? Can Visualization Make Things Happen?

Of course. Visualization is successfully used in areas like athletic training. There are several studies that prove the effectiveness of visualization techniques.

Want some proof with your pudding? Check out what the research says about visualization:

When it comes to manifesting, visualization is an excellent technique to reprogram your subconscious mind, and it can also help to solve manifestation blocks, so-called abundance blocks.

What Are the Benefits of Visualization?

Visualization can be a great tool to get over your manifesting blocks and has many other benefits. Visualizations can help you focus on positive things, even if it doesn’t quite go in the direction you want them to.

Visualization can have the same benefits as meditation; it can calm you down and have a very positive effect on your physical health.

How Can Visualization Help You Change Your Behavior?

In order to manifest successfully, it is important that you become active. But before we can take the needed action steps towards our goals, it is often needed that we first change our behavior.

Visualization can support you by changing your behavior as you start to see yourself already the way you should be. This “acting as if” is one of the key points to making your dreams come true successfully.

Can You Visualize With Open Eyes?

I actually didn’t think that anyone could struggle with closed-eye visualization for a long time because I have always visualized with my eyes closed.
But then I started with my Q&A sessions in my manifesting community and heard more and more often, “Mia, I can’t visualize images in my head. What should I do?”

Some people have a problem imagining a clear picture when they visualize with their eyes closed. This is called non-eidetic visualization. So yes, you can visualize with your eyes open if this works better for you.

And it is perfectly normal. Only about 10% can really see inner images like a movie; for others, it is often more like thinking about something. I explain in the following post why this is, and more importantly, what you can do about it: Can you visualize with your eyes open

Does Visualization Work to Manifest Love?

Of course, visualization does work to manifest love and everything else you desire.

No matter what you want to manifest, visualization can support you. This also applies if you want to manifest your dream partner and love.

How Do You Visualize Your Future?

There are several visualization methods you can use to visualize your future. It’s best to choose one that feels good for you and gives you the results you want.

You can focus on visualizing only one specific goal, or you can let your whole future play out like a movie in front of you. The more you focus on and visualize your perfect future, the more your subconscious mind will work to get you there.

And until then, enjoy the visualization process!

One thing I love a lot about this manifesting tool is the fact that you don’t have to wait for your dreams to manifest to start feeling good about them.

You can experience every moment, every great feeling, right now. And the more intensively you do this, the faster you will manifest this dream into your reality.
