Before we dive into the single ways to express your thankfulness, let’s have a quick look at why gratitude is such an important technique if you want to manifest your dreams and achieve your big goals.

Why is the Practice of Gratitude Helping With Manifesting

Here is a little reminder of how manifestation works and why gratitude is so powerful in the manifestation process.

In short, manifestation works like this:

  • You set yourself a big goal (ask for it!)
  • You then have to ensure that no abundance blocks keep you away from your dreams. You do this by reprogramming your subconscious mind to align with your dreams.
  • You then take action to make your dreams become a reality.

In the 2nd step, where you reprogram your subconscious to bring all the resources, possibilities, ideas, etc., gratitude plays a major role. And here is why…

Gratitude helps to signal to the subconscious that you already have ALL THESE good things in your life.

You have probably heard about “acting as if” as a way to manifest. But this does not mean pushing your credit card to the limit and treating yourself to the luxurious lifestyle that you want to attract.

The point is to signal to the subconscious mind, often referred to as the universe, that you are already in this vibrational alignment.

And practice gratefulness is the perfect way to do so.

Reprogramming your subconscious mind is not the only power that gratitude holds. Researchers say gratitude closes a gate in the brain, not allowing negative emotions and thoughts to pass. This means that negativity and gratitude cannot exist together.

You are probably aware that being in a positive mindset and high vibe positively influences the law of attraction, so you see how this can further speed up the manifestation of your big goals.

That’s why gratitude is one of my favorite manifestation methods, and I’m happy to share my top tips on how you can practice gratitude every single day. Let’s get started with tip number one…

1. Practice Gratitude by Telling Others That You Are Thankful

Tell people you’re grateful and thank them for everything they bring to your life.

Whether that’s the friendly barista in the coffee shop who served you with extra care (don’t forget the tip) or the lady next door who feeds your cat when you’re away for the weekend.

Giving back is one of the most beautiful things in life, and it is so good to express our gratitude to the people who are valuable to us. The more often you say thank you to these people, the more you signal your subconscious that you do live a positive life worth being grateful for.

2. Write a Positive Review

Last year, I trained with a personal trainer but took a break for the summer when my trainer asked me to leave a Google review.

It’s funny, I’m a business owner myself, and still, I don’t often remember to leave a review for others for their services. So I’m glad he did remind me about it.

Giving a positive review for a product or service you like is a great way to show your gratitude. And an excellent way to support small business owners.

3. Cuddle Your Pet

All cat owners will surely agree; there is nothing more beautiful than when your cat shows you her gratitude for some cuddles by purring gently.

Pets, if we take good care of them, show us their daily gratitude in a wonderful way. For the affection, the feeding, and of course, when we keep their toilet clean.

But we can also thank our furry friends for being with us and making our lives more enjoyable. So, give your pet more attention for an extra gratitude kick.

4. Give Back

Gratitude and Generosity go hand in hand. And I even invented my own formula for this:

Gratitude + Generosity = Abundance

Generosity signals to the universe (your subconscious mind) that you have more than enough. So much that you can even share some of it. Your gratitude for these things makes this message even stronger because those you give to will undoubtedly return gratitude.

I give 10% of my income from this manifestation blog to a charity, but not only that, I help wherever and whenever I can. And I believe giving is the most satisfying feeling in the world.

5. Thank Someone for Changing Your Life

Think back to a point in your life when a person significantly influenced you. Maybe you got some valuable advice or just got inspired.

Maybe a teacher, a mentor, your parents, your brother, a good friend, a book author… Whoever it was, it’s now time to say thank you.

If that person has passed away, or you just can’t figure out how to contact them, write them a thank-you letter anyway. You can write it into your gratitude journal and read it regularly.

6. Start a Gratitude Jar

A gratitude jar is something I came across a few years ago and found it such a wonderful idea.

You take a big jar and colorful paper, and every day you write something on a piece of paper for which you are thankful, and so you fill the gratitude jar daily.

At the end of the year, you open each of these notes and read them out loud. This is a recipe for 365 days of gratitude. What could be better?

7. Share Your Daily Gratitude With Your Partner

This post clearly shows you the importance of gratitude in life; that’s why you should make it a daily habit!

And a gratitude journal or list is a perfect way to express your gratitude daily. This is the perfect activity for your manifestation routine.

No matter if you just list what you are grateful for on a piece of paper or write it in a pretty notebook like a little story… writing down what you are thankful for helps you reflect every day on how many great things you already have in your life.

8. Start a Gratitude List or Journal

9. Create a Gratitude Wall

Self-love is an essential point for your personal growth and important if you want to bring more of the good stuff into your life.

And I’m sure you have countless reasons to appreciate yourself…

Be grateful for your body that supports you with hundreds or thousands of functions. Be thankful for the things you like most about your looks. Be grateful for your mind, which is so powerful that you can achieve anything you want.

A fantastic exercise for practicing gratitude and self-love is this:

  1. Look in the mirror every evening.
  2. Say your name out loud.
  3. Then tell yourself what you are grateful for today, name all the things you have done, name all the positive thoughts you have had, appreciate the moments in which you were strong, courageous, funny, friendly, kind…
  4. End the exercise by telling yourself: I love you!

Love yourself! Because you are the most important person in your life.

Bonus Tip: Be Grateful for the Little Things

In a world where everything has to be faster, bigger, and better, we often forget the small things.

When it comes to expressing your gratitude, it’s the little things that count because these little moments in life add up and can determine how your overall vibrational alignment.

We can be grateful for so many little things in life.

A beautiful sunrise, the sun shining on your face in the morning, the freshly brewed coffee, a smile from a stranger passing by, your good mood, the birds singing on your way to work, a text message from a good old friend, a meeting that worked out great, a friendly chat at lunch break, the soft blanket you can fall into after a hard day at work.

And I could go on and on…

Every day we have countless experiences, thoughts, and feelings. If we only showed gratitude for a small part of them, our lives would change dramatically.
