10 Powerful Ways to Practice Gratitude Daily

Practice gratitude is probably one of the habits that will bring you the most if you want to attract a more abundant life and especially if you want to have the Law of Attraction on your team. If you signal to the universe that you are grateful for the things you already have, you will attract more. That's the basics of the law of abundance.


But gratitude not only signals your subconscious mind that you are thankful, but also that you have more than enough. And this abundance mindset is key in manifesting.

So you see why I practice gratitude whenever possible, and here are my top 10 ways to practice gratitude daily:

But before we go through the individual points, let's have a quick look at how gratitude is such an important tool if you want to manifest your dreams and achieve your big goals.

Why Is Practice of Gratitude Helping with Manifesting ?

Here is a little Law of Attraction 101:

Manifestation is based on the fact that you set yourself a big goal, ask for your dream. Then make sure that you work on all your abundance blocks, the roadblocks that may keep you away from reaching your goals. And finally, in the 3. step, you reprogram your subconscious mind so that it brings all the resources, possibilities, ideas, etc. you need into your life.

And in the end, you only have to do one thing: taking action!

Gratitude plays a crucial role in this process, because it helps to signal to the subconscious that you have already MANY good things in your life.

You have probably heard the expression "act as if" in connection with the Law of Attraction?

This does not mean pushing your credit card to the limit and treating yourself to the luxurious lifestyle that you want to manifest.

No, the point is to signal to the subconscious mind, often referred to as the universe, that you are already on this vibrational alignment.

And practice gratefulness is the perfect way to do so!

10 Ways to Practice Gratitude Daily

But that is not it; researchers say that gratitude closes a gate in the brain which does not allow negative emotions and thoughts to pass.

This means that negativity and gratitude cannot exist together.

If you know how important it is for the Law of Attraction that you are as positive as possible in life and have many positive thoughts, you should understand why gratitude has such an impact on your mindset and can help to speed up your manifestation.

So let's see how you can bring more appreciation into your everyday life.

1. Tell Others That You Are Thankful

Tell people that 'you're grateful and thank them for everything great they bring into your life.

Whether that's the friendly barista in the coffee shop who served you with extra care (don't forget the tip) or the lady next door who water your plants now and then when you're away for the weekend.

Giving back is one of the most beautiful things in life, and it is so good to show our gratitude to the people who are valuable to us regularly.

2. Write a Positive Review

The last six months, I trained with a Personal Trainer and then said goodbye to him for a "summer break" when he asked me to leave a review on Google.

It's funny, I'm a business owner myself, and still, I don't often remember to leave a review for others for their services.

But this is a great way to show your gratitude and especially an excellent way to support small business owners.

3. Cuddle Your Pet

All cat lovers will surely agree; there is not much more beautiful than when your cat shows you her gratefulness for some cuddles, by purring gently.

Pets, if we take good care of them, show us their gratitude every day. For the affection, the feeding and of course, when we keep their toilet clean.

But we can also show our gratitude to our furry friends for being with us and (mostly) making our lives more enjoyable. So, give your pet more attention for an extra gratitude kick.

4. Give Back

Gratitude and Generosity really go hand in hand. And I even invented my own formula:

Gratitude + Generosity = Abundance

Generosity signals to the Law of Attraction that you have more than enough, so much, that you can even share some of it. Your gratitude for these things, even more, supports the whole thing.

And you get a double effect! Because those you give to, they will undoubtedly return gratitude.

I give 10% of my income to a charity, but not only that, I help wherever and whenever I can. And I believe giving is the most satisfying feeling in the world.

5. Thank Someone For Changing Your Life

Think back to a point in your life where a person had a significant influence on you. Maybe you got some valuable advice or just got inspired.

Maybe a teacher, a mentor, your parents, your brother, a good friend, a book author... Whoever it was, it's time to say thank you.

If that person has passed away in the meantime, or you just can't figure out how to contact them, write him or her a thank-you letter anyway. You can write it into your gratitude journal and read it regularly.

6. Start a Gratitude Jar

A gratitude jar is something I came across last year and found it such a wonderful idea.

You take a big jar and colorful paper and every day you write something on a piece of paper for which you are thankful, and so you fill the gratitude jar, day by day.

At the end of the year, you open each of these notes and read them out loud. This is a recipe for 365 days of gratitude. What could be better?

I plan to open my notes on new year's eve with my husband Tom and a bottle of my favorite champagne.

7. Share Your Daily Gratitude With Your Partner

In our house, the Law of Attraction is really practiced 24/7, and we have integrated many small things into our everyday life that help us to manifest our dreams. So far, with great success.

Having an attitude of gratitude is undoubtedly an important part of this Law of Attraction routine.

My husband and I often sit down in the morning and have a coffee together, while we talk about how grateful we are for our lives.

Sharing your gratitude with your spouse (or a close friend or family member) is not only a great way to practice gratitude every day but also excellent for bonding your relationship.

8. Start a Gratitude List or Journal

So this post clearly shows you the importance of gratitude in life. Make it a daily habit!

A gratitude journal is, of course, a perfect way to express your gratitude every day. And is, therefore, an excellent activity for your morning routine.

No matter if you add a gratitude list to your journal or write like a story, about what you have and what you are thankful for, it helps you to reflect every day how many great things you already have in your life.

9.  Create a Gratitude Wall

A gratitude board is a great alternative to a vision board.

All you need a free spot on a wall, or a pin-board, and every time you feel gratitude for something that you have or that just happened to you, write it on a note and post it to your gratitude wall.

10. Be Grateful for the Most Important Person in Your Life: Yourself!

Self-love is an essential point for your personal growth and important if you want to bring more of the good stuff into your life.

And I'm sure you have countless reasons to appreciate yourself.

Be grateful for your body that supports you with hundreds or thousands of functions. Be thankful for the things you like most about your looks. Be grateful for your mind that is so powerful that you can achieve anything you want.

A fantastic exercise to practicing gratitude is this:

Look in the mirror every evening, say your name out loud and then tell yourself what you are grateful for today, name all the things you have done, name all the positive thoughts you have had, appreciate the moments in which you were strong, courageous, funny, friendly, kind...

Love yourself! Because you are the most important person in your life!

Bonus Tip: Be Grateful for the Little Things

In a world where everything has to be faster, bigger, and better, we often forget the small things.

When it comes to expressing your gratitude, it's the little things that count because these little moments in life add up and can determine how your overall vibrational alignment is.

There are so many little things in life for which we can be grateful.

A beautiful sunrise, the sun shining on your face in the morning, the freshly brewed coffee, a smile from a stranger on the street, your good mood, The birds singing on your way to work, a text message from a good old friend, a meeting that worked out great, a nice chat at lunch, the soft blanket you can fall into after a hard day at work.

And I could go on and on.

Every day we have countless experiences, thoughts, and feelings. If we only showed our gratitude for a small part of them, our lives would change dramatically.

Health Benefits of Gratitude

I already mentioned at the beginning of this post how your gratitude has a positive effect on your brain and can change your mindset. But gratitude has many other health benefits.

For example, in a 10-week study of the two psychologists, Dr. Michael E. McCullough of the University of Miami and Dr. Robert A. Emmons of the University of California; one group had to write down every day what they are grateful for. And it turned out that the group that expressed their gratitude generally felt better, were more optimistic and even lived healthier and worked out more often.

And here even more health benefits from gratitude that have been proven by studies so far:

- It decreased pain levels
- It reliefs stress levels
- It helps you to sleep better
- It reduces depression and anxiety
- It increases your energy levels
- It helps with overall happiness and a better outlook in life
