Sometimes as we being to learn about the law of attraction, we can get excited about the possibilities, but frustrated by the lack of progress. There are many things we want, which would make our lives more fun and purposeful.
Whether we are unhappy with our current living situation, income, relationship status, or career, finding a way out can seem a little bit daunting when you have tried many different things.
To get the things we want in our lives, we need to follow the steps that others before us have developed to be successful. Anyone successful in achieving their desires has followed a goal-setting guide and worked towards achieving them.
Anyone of us can change the situations we are in, and achieve anything we want. We can attract a new partner, make more money, learn new skills, and have more beautiful experiences by switching the way we think about the law of attraction and setting goals.
By changing the way you use the law of attraction and setting goals, you can begin to make real progress towards your eventual desired outcome.
Using visualization, dreaming big, feeling the emotions of success, and taking actionable steps, you can finally begin to see all of your dreams come to fruition.
The law of attraction is one of the most potent forces in the universe, and using it correctly can change your life drastically. When you pair it with a specific goal-setting formula, you can become unstoppable.
The law of attraction works in non-practical ways. It defies our logic and things we have learned throughout our lives. However, once you understand how it works, it becomes quite simple.
Let's take a look at how the law of attraction works with our goal setting.
How Does the Law of Attraction Work?
The way the law of attraction works is by matching energetic frequencies. Everything in our world is vibrating at a frequency, and we, as humans, vibrate as well.
Our vibration is controlled by the programs running through our subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is also your physical body. It is where you store all of your memories, emotions, and unconscious programs that make you do things without thinking about them.
If we wake up every day and don't explicitly set an intention to change individual behaviors and thought patterns, we will repeat the same ones day after day.
Doing this will keep our vibration at the same frequency and continue to attract the same things into our lives.
And who wants to be trapped in Groundhog Day?
To create real change in your life, you need to change your subconscious program. A new program will lead to new emotions, new responses, new actions, and new results because of a new frequency.
Setting goals helps you to interrupt our current patterns. By visualizing your goals and feeling the emotions of achievement, you put yourself in line with the frequency you are trying to match.
Unless you create new inspiring feelings, you will not move towards a new lifestyle, and you will continue to run the same programs.
When we set a new goal, we interrupt our unconscious patterns and force our attention to look for a change in our lives. Setting goals causes our brains to look for opportunities to fulfill those desires and brings them to the forefront of our minds.
It allows you to start seeing possibilities and pathways to your end destination without actually seeing the entire path. It turns your visualizations into a reality as you begin to work towards completing the steps necessary to accomplish.
There are different types of goals you can set that will help you make the law of attraction work for you. You want to set big, inspiring goals that will move you emotionally to charge towards the change you want in your life.
You also need practical short term goals that you can tick off. Kind of like a "to-do" list.
Here are the three types of the law of attraction goals you should set.
You need goals that are going to inspire you. Nobody is inspired by small goals that are too similar to their current situation.
Big goals that seem like they may be too good to be true are so powerful because they can put us into a state of hope. When we imagine the possibility of something that we haven't experienced before, it opens up our dopamine channels and allows us to expand our expectations.
These types of goals could be things like living in a beautiful home in the mountains, running a business that impacts thousands of people, or attracting the partner of our dreams.
These goals put you into an extremely positive state as they allow you to imagine what those elevated emotions would feel like regularly. This positive state forces your brain to start looking for ways to achieve these dreams.
And that's where the re-programming of your subconscious mind starts. So Dare to Dream Big, as Walt Disney loved to say.

Results goals are ones that you can quantify. You can set specific numbers like the amount of money you want to make by a particular date, or hitting your desired weight by a certain time.
These types of goals are so consequential because being specific and deliberate about them forces your subconscious to start to figure out how you can achieve them. Also, result goals set the groundwork for how you can plan out the actionable steps towards achievement.
An example of a specific results-driven goal would be: "I want to finish ten paintings by January 30th, 2020."
Notice that it is precise and quantifiable with a dated deadline.
See these goals as the milestones you need to reach in order to make it to your big breakthrough goal.
Progress goals are the ones that you set in the very short term. They are the steps you take daily that stem from your long term goals.
Without progress goals, you can easily fall off the path to achievement and let your goals get pushed to the backburner.
By sensibly revising your process goals in alignment with your result and breakthrough goals, you can stay on track and make sure that you're genuinely on your way to your dream life.
When you follow these three types of goals, it sets into motion all of the emotions and steps necessary to achieve your dreams.
You will begin by becoming inspired, followed by realizing your dreams are possible, and finally taking action.
The result is that you change circumstances in your life to what you desire more.
All these three types of goals have a specific emotional trigger that helps us to build motivation, beliefs, and a feeling of reward. And they all signal our subconscious mind where we want to go.
How Setting Goals Affects The Law Of Attraction
We don't so much make the law of attraction work for us as much as we allow it to work for us.
There are a few crucial steps you need to keep in mind when working with the law of attraction in your life.
Decide What You Want
If you do not know what you want, then you will have no way to find your point A and point B. There are many ways you can figure out what you want. You can ask yourself what you need to be truly happy.
What type of living situation do you want? What kind of relationships do you want? How much money do you want to make to live your ideal life?
The questions we ask ourselves to help determine our direction in life.
One person may want to live in a big city in a luxurious penthouse. Another may prefer to have a lovely country cottage where they can enjoy nature and relax.
Try to answer for yourself what you want and what will give you the joy and peace you're seeking in your life.
You can spend some time merely imagining the emotions you want to feel and allowing your mind to lead you to the things that will create those emotions.
Our brain is a powerful connection tool and tends to find the answers we are searching for when we ask. Take your time to find the answer to the question: What do I really want?
When you have decided what you want, you can begin manifesting goals by writing them down. Writing goals down solidifies it in our minds and makes it more real for us. Remember to quantify it and make it very specific.
Visualize Yourself Living Your New Life
Visualization is one of the most useful tools we have as conscious creators.
Visualizing is seeing our desired outcome in our imagination before it happens in our physical reality. The exciting thing is, our brain is unable to differentiate between what is happening for real, versus what we are merely imagining.
When we convince our brain that it actually has this experience, it releases chemicals and hormones into the body to match the emotions of the experience.
When we do this over and over again, the brain builds new connections and starts to rewire. To allow the law of attraction to work with you, your belief systems need to match the frequency of the idea that you desire.
By building these new connections and rewiring our brain, our subconscious patterns begin to change, and we start to move towards what we want with little resistance.
Visualization also inspires us and gives us the motivation we need to start working towards our goals.
When we see it in our minds, we can begin to believe that it is possible for us. Believing is the first and most important step towards actually going after what we want. If we do not believe, we will never even begin or see it as a possibility.
When you have visualized your ideal self, then it is time to rewrite the goals you have set. You want to write them in the present tense as if you have already achieved them.
For example, you might say: "I am so joyful and filled with peace knowing that I live in my beautiful mountainside home. I have never been more inspired and at home in a place before, and I am incredibly grateful."
Go ahead and do this with all of your goals and feel those emotions as you write them down, strengthening the new connections in your brain.
Write Down Your New Process
Now that you have the imaginative piece of the puzzle in place, it is time to set your mind to the practical. You need to set actionable steps for yourself to follow that will get you towards your goals. That is beneficial in two ways.
Besides actually getting you working towards your goal, you're also teaching and showing your conscious mind that you are getting closer.
As you get closer, you begin to feel more and more excitement and joy out of the pursuit of your goal. That creates a positive feedback loop and accelerates the process.
You want to set your actionable steps with the end in mind and work backward.
Here some law of attraction goal setting examples:
Example 1: I want to buy a new car in cash that costs $80,000 by March 31st, 2020. I then figure out how much money I will make between now and March 31st, 2020. Once I know how much I will already make, I need to figure out how much more I need to save or produce.
Coming up with this new number will cause the brain to start to find new ways to make more money.
Whether it is through a side business, picking up extra shifts, selling possessions, or getting a new job, I need to break down precisely what daily steps I'll need to take to see my dream come true.
Example 2: In precisely six months to the day, I want to be in a loving relationship with someone I am attracted to and who meets me where my values are. I can then figure out how often I meet someone new in my life regularly.
If I am currently not dating, then I could set the goal of meeting with someone new once a week. This way, I can begin to explore the options I have and find the person who is going to be a good match for me.
Then I can decide to approach a new person once a day with whom I may be interested in going on a date. If I can date at least one person a week, my chances of finding this partner are drastically increased compared to the version of me that is going on zero dates per week.
There is no limit to the types of goals or avenues you can pursue to achieve them. The important thing is that you break it down into the things you need to do daily to achieve that goal. Then, your subconscious mind can get to work on solving that problem for you.
You will automatically begin to pay attention to the potential opportunities that will get you to your goal.
Without the belief that you can achieve it, the emotion that drives you toward it, and the daily steps you need to take, your brain will not start looking for the correct answers.
The Law Of Detachment
There is a final piece of the puzzle that can help you achieve your goals using the law of attraction. It is often misunderstood and overlooked. It is called the law of detachment.
The law of detachment is vital to understand because it is where we work with the law of attraction.
We allow it to work with us instead of trying to force it.
When we desire something, we are in the frequency of lacking it. The frequency of lack will never attract the thing we want to us. In vibrational terms, like energy attracts like energy. So if there is something we want, we need to employ the energy and frequency of already having it.
That may sound difficult because how can we want something while simultaneously no longer vibrationally desiring it? We can get ourselves out of the frequency of lack by again visualizing ourselves in the situation we wish.
That elicits the emotions we want to feel and tricks our brain into believing that we already have what we want. Thus, we no longer feel the lack. Instead, our vibration matches the frequency we are trying to attract.
Once you are feeling the desired emotions, a powerful tool you can use is gratitude. The emotional signature of having achieved or received something is gratitude. When we feel gratitude, it is impossible for us to feel lack.
Even if we are not currently in our desired situation, we can still feel gratitude for what we have. Even if it is for the breath we're taking or the bed in which we sleep. When you focus on what you have, your vibration raises, and you open yourself up to receiving more blessings and joy in your life.
Even though you're not currently living in the situation you want, you can begin to progress towards your ideal life starting today.
Using the law of attraction to set goals helps to train your mind and get yourself excited about a potential future. If you do not take daily action of your goals, you will continue to live the life you currently are and will never make any progress.
Ask yourself if this is the way you want to feel. Is this the house that you want? Are these the relationships you want?
The version of you that will get you the things you want is not the version that has gotten you where you are now. You can make a change.
Btw. There are other universal laws that play a vital role when you want to reach your big dreams and goals. And one of them is, in my opinion, even more, important than the law of attraction.
